Everything else

The rest of what I actually do.

Add any of these to a monthly plan or take them on their own. Three or more together comes down about 15 per cent.

What moves the price: mostly volume and how much already exists. More posts, pages or channels cost more. Existing brand guidelines, photography or a working website bring it down, because there's less to build from nothing. You get a fixed quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Money questions

The things people ask before they ask.

How much does a digital marketing consultant cost in Sydney?

Sydney agencies typically charge between $180 and $350 an hour, which usually means a minimum engagement of several thousand dollars. I start much lower: your first audit is free and $90 after that, social media starts at $199 a month, and projects start at $100. You're paying one person's time rather than an agency's overheads.

How much should a small business spend on marketing?

The usual rule of thumb is 5 to 10 per cent of revenue, which isn't much help when you're early and revenue is small. More practical: spend what you can afford to lose for three months while you find out what works, then put more behind whatever does. For most small businesses that's a few hundred dollars a month, not a few thousand.

Why publish prices when most agencies don't?

Because not knowing what something costs is the main reason small businesses put marketing off entirely. If these numbers don't suit you, you've lost nothing by finding out here instead of after a sales call.

Is there a minimum spend or a lock-in contract?

Neither. Your first audit is free, so the smallest thing you can spend is nothing. After that an audit is $90. Retainers run month to month and you can stop whenever you like.

Do these prices include Google Ads spend?

No. The management fee is separate from what you pay Google. The ad budget stays yours and goes straight to Google, so you keep control of it and can see exactly where it went.

What if I need something that isn't listed?

Ask. These are the things people request most often, not a complete list. If it's marketing and it's within what I do well, I'll quote on it. If it isn't, I'll tell you and point you at someone better.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell me what's not working and I'll tell you what it would cost to fix, before you commit to anything.
